Sales forecast model

The sales forecasting model uses Machine Learning methods to accurately estimate valuable information for operations planning and optimization. Learning algorithms allow you to capture the relationship between different external factors and sales variables and estimate the evolution of demand. Social Data Lab combines sales history with other relevant information such as Google Trends, surveys, weather conditions, demographic changes, etc.. The models make it possible to predict both sales to distributors or final consumers.

Election forecasts

Election forecasts based on exit-polls were initiated in Portugal by one of Social Data Lab’s partners, in 1987. And he has been doing them ever since, in cooperation with several market research companies. In the last 25 years, 11 predictions have been made for General and European elections, and the average error obtained per party was 0.54%.
